10:00 am and 1:00 pm - Explore Lake George on the Floating Classroom
Wednesdays: July 3 - August 28
This informative and interactive family program aboard the Rosalia Anna Ashby provides participants the opportunity to learn about the remarkable ecology and health of our Lake and how to protect it through hands-on activities and experiments.
In your fun- and fact-filled cruise, youll measure water clarity, catch zooplankton, investigate other water quality parameters and return to shore with a whole new understanding of what it takes to keep Lake George clear and clean.
Reservations are required. No tickets will be sold at the boat.
The program is two hours long. The Floating Classroom will set sail from the dock at the end of Lower Amherst Street. Check-in at the dock 15 minutes prior to your ticketed program time on the day of your trip.
There is no designated parking for the program. The electronic meters in the Village are $2 an hour. Please note: It is advised to download the ParkMobile app before coming to the Village. When the Village is busy the cellular signal/WiFi drops, and connecting and downloading can be very difficult.
Life jackets are provided and required for everyone under 18. There is also an emergency restroom on board.
We do operate in the rain. In the event we need to cancel due to inclement weather, we will contact you by the email/phone you provided.
