It would be helpful if participants have taken a basic drawing class or possess basic drawing skills since there will be no drawing instruction in this workshop.
Cost of the workshop is $30
$40 for the workshop and a day pass.
The purpose of this Workshop is to teach a multi-media approach to travel journaling from a variety of material you have collected during your travels such as photos, drawings, comments and observations, paper memorabilia and anything else that can be adhered to paper pages of a journal. Instruction will include topics such as formatting, layout, framing, organizing, preservation, selecting materials, putting together a travel art kit and creating the journal you envision to tell the unique story of your travels.
Diane has a degree from Cornell University and spent a long career in management. She has traveled extensively and began the practice of Travel Journaling nearly 20 years ago. She exhibits her journals in area Libraries and has taught workshops in creating travel scrapbooks. Additionally, Diane has taught art and crafts workshops for children in her neighborhood for several years during the summer months, a variety of labor relations workshops during her career, public sector labor law and communications for Cornell University, management, supervisory skills training and organizing and time management on a contract basis.
She has been practicing her art of travel journaling and art-map making, as well as painting full-time for many years.

With panoramic views of “The Queen of American Lakes,” event-goers can also take advantage of all that Lake George has to offer in terms of activities and sight-seeing, all within a very short walk from the grounds. This facility is available to rent for your event and includes the following amenities: Three picnic pavilions, handicapped accessible public restrooms.horse coral, RV electric and water (no septic) and outdoor lighting.
The Cool Insuring Arena, a 4794 seat multi-purpose facility, is the home of the Adirondack Thunder, a professional hockey team that plays in the ECHL.
