10:00 am - 4:00 pm - The Continental Army at Ticonderoga gave hope to this new nation with their victory over the British Army on October 28, 1776, beginning their long watch over the winter to come. In this one-day living history event, witness soldiers’ preparations to hold the line of liberty, maintaining their discipline through the hardships of winter and discover the adversities they had to overcome each day as they continued to prepare Ticonderoga’s defenses.
The Festival Commons at Charles R. Wood Park, located at the southern end of historic Lake George, is an ideal location for your next event. With panoramic views of “The Queen of American Lakes,” event-goers can also take advantage of all that Lake George has to offer in terms of activities and sight-seeing, all within a very short walk from the grounds. The beauty and proximity of The Festival Commons at Charles R. Wood Park in Lake George offers something unique for each season and every occasion.
This facility is available to rent for your event and includes the following amenities: Three picnic pavilions, handicapped accessible public restrooms.horse coral, RV electric and water (no septic) and outdoor lighting.
The Cool Insuring Arena, a 4794 seat multi-purpose facility, is the home of the Adirondack Thunder, a professional hockey team that plays in the ECHL.
