1:00 pm - The South Glens Falls Holiday Parade returns Sunday, Nov. 24, kicking off “at 1 p.m. sharp,” organizer Megan Quinn reports. The theme is “Merry Mishaps.” The parade is organized by the South Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company. Contact for questions and participation packets: parade@sgffire.org Grand Marshal is the South Glens Falls Village DPW, Ms. Quinn said. “We appreciate all of the hard work they do for the residents of South Glens Falls and their continued support of the holiday parade.” “Our amazing sponsors this year include: Irving Tissue, Finch Paper, State Farm Rita Hawkins Group, St. Michaels Church, the South Glens Falls Faculty Association, Northern Builders, Regional Radio Group, and 5 Star Golf Cars. The parade collects food donations to be distributed by the Moreau Community Center, and new, unwrapped toy donations for Local Marine Detachment No. 2’s “Toys for Girls and Boys” holiday gift program. High school bands in the parade receive a monetary donation to their school music department, notes the Fire Company on its Facebook page.
