12:30 - 8:00 pm - This holiday season, the Fort William Henry Museum invites you to join in 18th century wintery fun with History and Holidays, a family-friendly event brimming with festive activities, guided military historical tours, interactive games, crafts, and seasonal treats, and holiday shopping. From November 30 through February 23, guests can enjoy a unique blend of historical fun, food, and winter festivities. Explore the Fun and delve into the rich history of Fort William Henry through uniformed, guided military tours with a focus on winter life at the Fort. Enjoy hands-on games and crafts that capture the spirit of the 18th century with Storytelling, and Colonial Games like: The Captains Mistress, Shut the Box, Click Clack, Ring Toss, and Ball in Cup. Daily crafts provide hands-on fun with options such as rope making, candle dipping, tin punching, bracelet making, ornaments, silhouettes, and textiles, pomanders and more. For outdoor fun, guests can enjoy our thrilling No-Snow Slide, the Cannonball Express and (weather permitting) a Native American Snow Snake. Afterward, warm up by the firepits with delicious smores. Inside, explore the impressive O-Gauge Train Layout and discover fascinating exhibits across three floors of the West Museum. The Sutler Shoppe will also be open, offering toasty snacks and exclusive gifts. And don't forget to grab your Fort William Henry gift cards, available online or at admissions. The Cool Insuring Arena, a 4794 seat multi-purpose facility, is the home of the Adirondack Thunder, a professional hockey team that plays in the ECHL.
