Halotherapy Yoga Series - Restorative Yoga at the Adirondack Salt Cave

11 Broad St. : 11 Broad St., Glens Falls, NY  12801

11:00 AM

11:00 am - March 2nd - 60-minute session - This practice will blend the benefits of yoga with halotherapy and is suitable for all levels. All Props will be provided. Led by Robin Weber, this class we will begin with breath-work and a gentle warmup to prep the body for a series of restorative poses and end with a supported meditation. Restorative yoga uses a series of easy, supported poses held for a long time under the right conditions (including the use of many props) to tip the balance from “fight or flight” mode into maximum relaxation. Halotherapy is an exposure to kinetically activated dry salt where the micro sized particles are being inhaled while the large salt particles are spread on the top of the skin. Since dry salt is antibacterial and super absorbent it actively kills bacteria and reduces the inflammation in the respiratory system and widens the airways for better breathing. Halotherapy keeps the lungs and the skin clean, boosts oxygen circulation, energizes the whole body and enhances mental alertness. Clean and clear airways allow more efficient oxygen distribution and increases the elimination of the CO2 from the body. The result is having more vitality and energy while being relaxed and having an increased ability to focus on daily tasks.
