210 Main St : 210 Main St, Hudson Falls, NY  12839

7:00 PM

On Thursday April 24, 2025 @ 7:00pm, the Musicians of Ma'alwyck return to the Strand Theatre for a night of classical chamber music including Serenade op 25 of Beethoven and the Schubert quartet for flute, viola, guitar and cello.

Musicians of Ma’alwyck is a flexible-size chamber ensemble in residence at the Schuyler Mansion New York State Historic Site and Schenectady County Community College. Founded in 1999 by violinist and director Ann-Marie Barker Schwartz, the group specializes in music performed in America during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

This past season the ensemble commissioned an opera about the woman suffrage movement, which premiered last June. Titled Aleda or the Flight of the Suff Birdwomen, and written by Max Caplan, the opera received high artistic praise.  This spring Musicians of Ma’alwyck was nominated for an Eddie Music Award.

$15/general admission, students are free. Tickets are available at the Strand Box Office or online at Brown Paper Tickets. For more information, please visit our website at www.mystrandtheatre.org. Doors open into the lobby, coffee shop and box office @ 5:30pm.
