Glens Falls Symphony presents Shakespeare + Sound

Music Director Charles Peltz leads a sweeping showcase that brings the overture,
Merry Wives of Windsor—Otto Nicolai’s comedy, which combines elements of Italian
opera buffa and early German Romanticism along with music by William Walton from
Henry V, and scenes from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, for a dramatic and rousing
finale. During these works, selected passages by Shakespeare’s plays will be presented
by actor and Skidmore College Professor Dennis Schebetta.

Sunday, October 5 at 3pm, Pre-Concert Talk: Music Director Charles Peltz
discusses the concert, the music, and the guest artists in a free talk at 3 pm, in
the Hudson Falls High School Auditorium, 80 E. La Barge St. Hudson Falls, NY
12839.

Sunday, October 5 at 4pm: “Shakespeare + Sound,” featuring Dennis
Schebetta Hudson Falls High School Auditorium. 

NOTE: Due to construction at Glens Falls High School this concert has been moved
from there to Hudson Falls High School’s newly renovated Joyce Irwin Auditorium.
