Creative Coffee Hour: Needle Felted Autum Scene at The Hyde

161 Warren St. : 161 Warren St., Glens Falls, NY  12801

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Join us in a space designed to unwind, connect, and be creative over a cup of coffee!

Adults are invited to discover the tactile, colorful pleasures of painting with wool. In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of two-dimensional needle felting and will create their own vibrant autumn scenes. No prior experience is required. All materials and coffee will be provided.

About the teaching artist Althea Pestine-Stevens: Fiber arts have been part of Althea’s life from an early age – starting with their grandmother and mother crocheting family blankets and other goods. As a needle felter, Althea is often inspired by walks in nature and phenomena in outer space. Largely self-taught, Althea’s needle felting has won awards at multiple galleries, including the Albany Center Gallery and The R Gallery at Arlene’s Artist Materials. You can follow Althea’s updates at instagram.com/altheas_fiber_arts

Coffee generously provided by Common Roots Coffee Company.
