Kiwanis Club of Glens Falls Celebrates 100 Years with First-Ever Duck Drop at Crandall Park

Route 9 : Route 9, Glens Falls, NY  12801

11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

The Kiwanis Club of Glens Falls will mark its 100th Anniversary with a community-wide celebration on Sunday, September 21, from 11 AM to 2 PM at Crandall Park.

This family-friendly festival will feature games, activities, food vendors, and live entertainment — and for the first time ever, a Duck Drop will replace the traditional duck race. Hundreds of rubber ducks will be dropped onto a large target, with the closest ducks winning prizes from generous local businesses.

$2,025 in cash prizes will be awarded, including a $1,000 first prize, $550 second prize, and $475 third prize, plus additional prizes. Raffle tickets are $5 each, giving participants the chance to win cash and prizes while supporting important local causes.

All proceeds from the Duck Drop raffle will benefit:

  • Greater Glens Falls Senior Citizens Center, Inc.

  • Glens Falls Kiwanis Foundation, Inc.

  • Big Brothers / Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks

  • WAIT House

  • Scouting America Troop/Cub Scout Pack 6016 (Queensbury, NY)

“Our club has been dedicated to serving children and families in the Greater Glens Falls area for a century,” said Jerrod Ogden, President of the Kiwanis Club of Glens Falls. “The Duck Drop is a fun way to bring the community together while raising funds that directly benefit kids, families, and organizations in our region.”

Admission is free, and community organizations are invited to participate by hosting children’s activities. Bring the family for a day full of fun.
