The Sembrich is partnering with the Ukrainian Classical Voice Project to present a concert of Ukrainian art songs and arias performed by artists from across the Capital Region including sopranos Irina Petrik and Vedrana Kalas, and baritone Caleb Eick.
About the Ukrainian Classical Voice Project
The Ukrainian Classical Voice Project is a newly founded groundbreaking educational initiative which focuses on giving voice to the underrepresented composers of Ukraine, while also celebrating and promoting the nation's stunning musical heritage.
Introducing American and global audiences to these rarely-heard musical treasures strongly aligns with our convictions about social justice, supporting the marginalized creative groups and the concept of equality at large. To us at UCVP, fighting for Ukrainian voice means fighting for inclusion, fair representation, diversity and artistic integrity.
