2025 BASKETS FOR BEN, OCTOBER 24, 2025

Pumpkins are frosty, football season’s here, and the Ben Osborn Memorial Fund Angels are
busy creating BASKETS FOR BEN and you’re invited to attend!
The Queensbury VFW Post 6196 welcomes us for another glittering BASKETS FOR BEN on
Friday, October 24. The doors open at 4:30 p.m. to a Silent Auction featuring an array of
sparkling wrapped Baskets of Gifts donated by the very kind hearts of our region who support
Ben’s Fund & desire helping our local kids in need.
At 6:30 p.m. Auctioneer Roy Ross & wife Jaimee take the reins and auction gifts for your home,
car, entertainment, overnight accommodations, sports, art, foods, spirits, crafted goods, golf
packages, store and restaurant gift cards, beauty and spa items and a Monahan Firepit. Great
way to start your Christmas shopping!
All proceeds benefit Ben’s Fund, a regional 501-C3 charitable organization with no
administrative costs, created in loving memory of CPL Benjamin D. Osborn of Queensbury.
Ben, a Lake George High School graduate, was killed during a combat rescue mission in Kunar
Province, Afghanistan on June 15, 2010 while serving in the United States Army in the war on
terror during Operation Enduring Freedom.
Since November 2010, BEN’S FUND HAS HELPED THOUSANDS OF KIDS WITH NEED in
over 64 schools in Warren, Washington, Saratoga and Essex Counties with electronics,
clothing, bedding, food, tutoring, school supplies, eyeglasses, medical needs, transportation
costs, field trip expenses and scholarships. We help children through civic organizations,
hospitals, multiple county sheriff departments, food pantries & Ben’s Book Stations. We provide
food & gifts to children & families at the holidays, sharing the joys of Christmas wonder – that
there is something to look forward to under the Christmas tree and that someone cares.
Hope Rosati & Friends will stun us again with another over-flowing Wheelbarrow of Wine for
raffling! We’re also featuring Ben’s Fund merchandise and door prizes. We are gratefully
sponsored by Froggy 100.3 and sister stations of Adirondack Broadcasting of Glens Falls
and Look Media Resource.
Our full buffet of delectable foods & desserts donated by restaurants and grocers served by
SUNY Adirondack Culinary Arts students will please! Visit the Lovely Louise at our cash bar,
she’ll be waiting with a smile to see you again!
All of this for a $20.00 ticket! Join us at Baskets for Ben and see the familiar faces you know
and new friends you’ll meet at the Queensbury VFW Post 6196, 32 Luzerne Road, Queensbury,
New York, 12804.
It is our mission and hope that the values of Discipline and Pride will be encouraged and passed
on through Ben’s legacy. In honoring Ben Osborn whose selfless sacrifice and service to our
country has inspired us, we wish to help by “Giving Kids a Little Lift.” We welcome all and ask
your help to continue our mission of helping local children with need. We are a charitable 501-
C3 organization with no administrative costs. www.benosbornfund.org 518 792-4514
