Storytime at the Museum: The Shoulder Rider: A Storyteller's Tale

348 Glen St. : 348 Glen St., Glens Falls, NY  12801

1:00 PM

Join us for a reading of “The Shoulder Rider: A Storyteller’s Tale” by Beatriz Roman, who will share her beautifully illustrated book in person.

The story highlights the life of local Black librarian and storyteller Shirley McFerson, her family’s hotel listed in The Green Book, and the powerful idea that we all stand on the shoulders of those who came before us.

A limited number of copies of The Shoulder Rider will be available for purchase in the Museum gift shop.

This program is intended for children ages 5-9 but is open to all. Parental participation is encouraged, and supervision is required.

This program is free, and registration isn’t required, but we’d love a call to let us know you’re coming:
