Let the artworks at The Hyde Collection be the inspiration for a poem, story, or essay. This workshop is for anyone interested in exploring the connection between visual art and writing, known as ekphrastic writing.
This is a two-session workshop. In the first two-hour session we’ll examine examples of ekphrastic writing and do some warm-ups, before exploring the current exhibits at the Hyde to discover the works that inspire us.
In the next 60-minute session we’ll share our reactions to the experience as well as our writing.
