Where Nature and Creativity Meet
Step off the beaten path and into a celebration of wild beauty, Adirondack tradition, and local craftsmanship at the Woods Walk & Artisan Market. Hosted at Martins Lumber in Thurman, this family-friendly event invites visitors to explore scenic forest trails, meet talented local makers, and connect with nature in a meaningful and memorable way.
Explore the Trails
Nature walks will take place throughout the day and offer a hands-on look at the forests living wonders.
The Herb & Plant Walk will help participants identify common wild plants, learn how they can be used, and harvest select plants along the way to make their own infusion.
Guests can also enjoy a Self-Guided Tree Walk featuring interpretive signs created by Gary Martin, highlighting native trees found throughout the property.
Artisan Marketplace
Back at the barn, browse handcrafted goods from more than a dozen local artists, makers, and creatives. Items and activities may include wood art, jewelry, childrens activities, rock art, candle making, textiles, pottery, books, soap art, and more.
