NA

The Haudenosaunee people clans are passed on through the bloodlines of their mothers. The nine clans — Hawk, Heron, Snipe, Turtle, Eel, Beaver, Deer, Wolf and Bear — play a role in political and ceremonial structures.

This exhibition in SUNY Adirondack's Visual Arts Gallery celebrates the Bear Clan with artwork from four generations of women, who carry a genetic memory they feel when creating pottery and art.
