Better than a Haunted House A Haunted FORT!
Running select evenings from September 24 through October 30 Fort Fright transforms the historic Lake George landmark into an immersive haunted experience where history and horror collide. Guests journey through transformed rooms and shadowy spaces surrounded by ominous lighting, immersive sound, fog, atmospheric effects and live scare actors.
Unlike a traditional haunted house, Fort Fright draws inspiration from the Forts own history, architecture and darker stories, creating an experience rooted in the people, events and legends that have made Fort William Henry one of the regions most intriguing historic sites.
The experience continues beyond the haunted walkthrough
Before and after entering Fort Fright, guests may care to tarry awhile in the Forts Courtyard with cider donuts, smores, drinks, firelight and a place to gather before heading back into the night. The Courtyard is also available to guests who choose not to walk the haunted route.
Mini Paranormal Investigations are also available as an optional add-on or standalone experience throughout the evening, giving guests another opportunity to explore the Forts reportedly haunted side using hands-on investigative techniques and equipment.
