Heritage, Harvest & Horse Festival at Fort Ticonderoga

Celebrate fall in the Champlain Valley at Fort Ticonderoga’s Annual Heritage, Harvest & Horse Festival on Saturday, October 3!

Set against the autumn colors of the Adirondacks and Green Mountains, this family-friendly festival brings together history, agriculture, animals, local food and traditional fall activities throughout Fort Ticonderoga’s historic landscape.

Spend the day exploring the King’s Garden and heritage apple orchard, meeting Fort Ticonderoga’s friendly oxen, enjoying horse-drawn wagon rides, shopping a farmers’ market filled with local food, beverages and handmade goods, and experiencing demonstrations highlighting the important role horses and other working animals played throughout history.

Visitors can also take on Fort Ticonderoga’s six-acre Heroic Corn Maze, recently recognized as a 2026 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice winner for Best Corn Maze in America. This year’s new design explores six stories and journeys from 1775 and 1776.

Festival activities include:

• Local farmers, food vendors, beverages, handmade goods, honey, maple products and more
• Horse-drawn wagon rides through the King’s Garden grounds
• The six-acre Heroic Corn Maze
• Fascine-A-Thon with Fort Ticonderoga’s working oxen
• Flower arranging with blooms from the King’s Garden
• Green Mountain Hounds demonstrations
• Historical programs exploring horses, fortifications and life at Ticonderoga in 1776
• Access to the newly opened Block House
• More than 10 daily tours, weapons demonstrations, historic trades and museum exhibitions

Guests can also add a 75-minute narrated Carillon boat cruise on Lake Champlain to their visit, subject to availability and additional reservations.
