Triathletes return to the bikeways, roads and shores of Lake George for two weekends in August and September. Kicking off the series of events, Alpha Win will host their 2nd Annual “Tri-Camp”, open to all ages and skill levels, from August 19 - 21 in Bolton Landing and Lake George. The official Lake George Triathlon begins Labor Day Weekend (September 3 - 4), where athletes can compete in the Alpha Sprint, the Alpha Olympic, and the Alpha 70.3 at Million Dollar Beach, Lake George.
Alpha Win offers multiple race distances that appeal to a full range of skill and fitness levels, from the first-time racer to the professional triathlete. Saugerties local and owner of Alpha Win, Tommy Struzzieri, championed the effort to host the race in the Lake George Area for its 16th year.
"We are thrilled to be the producers of the 2022 Lake George Triathlon and the 2022 Lake George Tri-Camp in the stunning Lake George Area. We can't wait to welcome a fantastic group of athletes to another fun and safe year. We are proud to be able to race and train for the great sport of triathlon in such an iconic and alluring location”, says Struzzieri.
About the Tri-Camp: Held in Lake George Village and Bolton Landing, the camp will present the opportunity to receive expert training tips, learn the courses for the upcoming race, and will provide a video gait analysis to perfect your form.
Dr. Mike Halstead will be leading the camp and provide personalized expertise in the sport of triathlon. A two-time Ironman Kona Finisher and two-time Hudson Valley Triathlon Club Triathlete of the year, Halstead has been the Overall Winner of over 30 multi-sport events, such as the 2019 Cape Cod Survival of the Shawangunks. Every year he coaches at the Doug Stern Tri Camp in Curaçao.
