On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau hosted a successful ServSafe Managers class at The Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls, NY. This all-day event, funded by the LGRCVB and free to attendees as part of its community development initiative, was aimed at enhancing food safety knowledge within the local hospitality industry.
The session kicked off at 8 a.m. and continued until 4 p.m., featuring intensive training by esteemed ServSafe Instructor, Frank Burns. Participants, limited to 25 to ensure a high-quality learning environment, received comprehensive education on food safety practices crucial for foodservice managers. The training covered everything from proper food handling to understanding the latest food safety regulations.
Lunch was provided by The Queensbury Hotel, giving attendees a chance to network and discuss the day’s learning. Following the completion of the course, participants took the ServSafe certification exam, a respected credential in the foodservice industry, which upon passing, could significantly boost their professional standing and their establishments' reputation.
The Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau continues to support the local dining scene by including all participating establishments in its future dining promotional efforts, thereby promoting not just individual but regional growth. This initiative is part of LGRCVB’s ongoing effort to ensure that the dining experiences in and around the Lake George Area remain safe, enjoyable, and of the highest quality.
