West Mountain

West Mountain is a ski area located just outside the Adirondack Park, and is open year-round. In the summer and fall, West Mountain offers a 5-acre Aerial Tree Top Adventure Park with ropes courses and zip lines, Mountain Biking (downhill for intermediate to advanced riders), scenic chairlift rides and hikes, and even picnic lunches (order ahead online). In the winter, West Mountain offers 30 ski trails ranging in difficulty from easy green trails to more advanced black diamond trails and some glades. The tubing park contains 6 (six) 700-foot chutes and 4 (four) 1000-foot chutes. West Mountain has 100% snowmaking and increased lighting for nighttime skiing and riding til 9 pm weekdays. The main lodge contains a cafe on the first floor and a full-service restaurant and bar on the second floor called the "West Mountain Bar & Eatery". The Northwest Lodge is a quaint place to warm up, with a full bar and lite fare.
