Prospect Mountain Memorial Highway

The spectacular 100-mile view from the 2,030' summit of Prospect Mountain can be accessed by driving the 5.5-mile winding road. A beautiful 2-lane highway leads to a parking lot at the summit. There are three overlooks, offering picturesque views of The Narrows, Lake George, and The Eagle’s Eye. Beautiful views of Vermont’s Green Mountains, New Hampshire’s White Mountains, New York’s Adirondack High Peaks and Laurentian Mountains of Canada can be seen. *Typical hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (summit closes at 5:30 p.m.) starting Memorial Day weekend – Labor Day. Veterans Memorial Highways will stay open until November 11. **Fees are $10/car, $5/motorcycle, $50/bus; the shuttle service will not be running during the 2023 season.
